PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING COMPANY TO LOCATE IN EDMONSON COUNTY

FRANKFORT, KY -December 3, 2003-Governor Paul Patton, Kentucky Economic Development Secretary Gene Strong and company officials announced the intention of Yahagi Sangyo Co., Ltd. to open a 32,000 square foot facility in a spec building in Edmonson County. The company will manufacture plastic injection molding parts. The purchase agreement has been finalized. They will move equipment into the building by the end of February 2004 and be operational by the end of May 2004.

"I want to commend Edmonson County for the cooperative effort in their work on this project," stated Governor Patton. "The company considered nine other locations in Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee, but the Edmonson County leadership made it happen here."

 The company's management said they believe the key to their successful operation in the U.S. lies with the availability of quality personnel, and such resources is plentiful in Edmonson County and its surrounding area. They added that they were very much impressed with the state and community's professional expertise displayed during the site location process.

 "We are delighted to announce that Edmonson County, Kentucky has been selected as the location for this facility," stated Gene Strong. "This facility will make an excellent contribution to the local economy."

The project represents a $2 million investment and 10-15 jobs.
