KENTUCKY CABINET FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WINS PROMOTION AWARDS The Southern Economic Development Council recently announced the recipients of its annual Literature and Promotion Awards. The Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development received the Superior Award and the Special Judges Award for the direct mail campaign entry "What State….". They also received Superior Awards for the "Think KY 2002 Annual Report" and the "Growing Autos Since 1913" print advertisement. Other awards received by the Cabinet were the Award of Excellence for the "Gift Boxes" direct mail campaign and also Merit Awards for the "Growing Autos Since 1913: international" print advertisement, "A Primer on Local ED Organizations in KY" and Overnight, Justintime" print advertisement. SEDC is the oldest and largest regional economic development association in North America. It has more than 1,000 members representing a variety of backgrounds, including local, regional and state development agencies, chambers of commerce, business and industry, utilities, transportation, finance and education.
