TWENTY NEW JOBS TO BE CREATED IN GREENUP

FRANKFORT, KY - Governor Paul E. Patton and Secretary of the Kentucky Economic Development Cabinet, Gene Strong, today welcomed the decision that North American Industrial Services (NAIS) will locate a 12,000 square foot industrial cleaning service operation in Greenup, Kentucky. NAIS was organized in 1994 in New York State for the primary purpose of providing cleaning services utilizing water blasting, vacuum trucks, abrasive/grit blasting and small charge explosives within industrial, manufacturing and incinerating plants throughout North America and Europe. The company has indicated it will create 20 new jobs and plans to be open for business as early as November 2003.

"We have worked hard to bring NAIS to the Commonwealth and we appreciate their confidence in our workforce and the positive business climate in Kentucky. We're pleased to welcome them to our corporate community and know they will have dedicated employees, progressive management and the ability to operate a productive and profitable business," said Governor Patton.

In the eight years since its inception, NAIS has expanded its operations throughout North America. Currently NAIS operates in New York, Maine, Massachusetts, Florida, California and Ohio. Over the past several years, demand for their services in the Central and Midwest areas of North America has increased tremendously.

The Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development is the primary state agency in Kentucky responsible for creating new jobs and new investment in the state.
