CINCINNATI MACHINE TO HEADQUARTER AEROSPACE, AFTER-MARKET OPERATIONS IN NORTHERN KENTUCKY

Boone County welcomes leading global supplier of advanced manufacturing products, technologies and services

Cincinnati Machine has announced that it will headquarter its aerospace and after-market services business to an existing facility in Northern Kentucky. The facility, owned by Cincinnati Machine's parent company, UNOVA, Inc., is located at 2200 Litton Road off Interstate 275 in Hebron, KY near the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in Boone County.

The company will invest more than $5 million to renovate office areas as well as add a technical center and additional manufacturing space that will be specially designed with reinforced floors to accommodate production of the company's sophisticated aerospace composites product line. The 150,000-square-foot facility will be expanded by 33 percent and will open by the end of the year.

In addition to the composites product line, the facility will serve as the production headquarters for Cincinnati Machine's advanced technology, high-speed, multi-axis, and multi-function products for the global aerospace industry.

The company's after-market products and auxiliary services group also will be headquartered at the Hebron facility. This organization provides complete lifecycle support for the global installed base of Cincinnati Machine and Lamb Technicon products, which serve the aerospace, automotive, heavy equipment and industrial components industries.

"Manufacturers around the world recognize Cincinnati Machine as a leading provider of technology driven solutions that add value and productivity to their manufacturing processes," said Dan Janka, Vice President, Cincinnati Machine and Lamb Technicon Global Sales. "Moving to this 'state of the art' facility will enable us to continue to deliver the superior products, technologies and services our customers expect."

The Northern Kentucky Tri-County Economic Development Corporation (Northern Kentucky Tri-ED) assisted Cincinnati Machine in its site selection process in Northern Kentucky. Northern Kentucky Tri-ED facilitated this decision by assisting in zoning, labor force, tax and incentive issues with valued assistance from the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development.

"The Cabinet is pleased that Cincinnati Machine was able to make use of the existing UNOVA facility. This provides advanced manufacturing jobs in the Northern Kentucky area and allows Cincinnati Machine to better utilize its existing resources," said Gene Strong, Secretary for the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development.

"Cincinnati Machine is a welcome addition to Northern Kentucky’s thriving business community," said Danny G. Fore, Northern Kentucky Tri-ED President.

"Cincinnati Machine's focus on technology and high-engineering manufacturing fits well in Northern Kentucky," said Boone County Judge-Executive Gary W. Moore. "Boone County certainly appreciates the decision of Cincinnati Machine to locate in Hebron and pledges continued assistance on the project."
