Kentucky has implemented a program that matches both Phase 1 and Phase 2 federal SBIR and STTR awards to our high-tech small businesses.

If you are an SBIR or STTR awardee from Kentucky, or are willing to relocate to Kentucky, you can apply for funds from the commonwealth to match your federal SBIR-STTR awards.

Round 19 of the Kentucky SBIR-STTR Matching Funds Program will open on April 1, 2013.

The Kentucky SBIR-STTR Matching Funds Program will accept applications for Round 19 between April 1, 2013 and April 30, 2013. The deadline to submit an application is 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on April 30, 2013. The awards process will be competitive and include an external review.

The Program Guidelines for Round 19 have been REVISED and are posted on the application site.

Additional solicitations are planned. The amount of funds available for awards each time will be determined by the Cabinet for Economic Development.
