Specializing in wireless distribution, Brightpoint Services will add 154 new jobs to Kentucky.

Brightpoint Services Locates in Louisville

Brightpoint Services, LLC recently announced it would locate its new distribution and fulfillment center in Louisville, creating approximately 154 new jobs for the region.  Specializing in wireless distribution and services, the new operation represents another win for Kentucky in the logistics industry.

“The Jefferson County region continues to build a reputation as a logistics hub,” said Governor Ernie Fletcher. “The addition of Brightpoint Services and more than 150 jobs to the area is terrific news.  Kentucky is proud to welcome the company as its newest corporate citizen.”

Through performance and service, Brightpoint has earned a place as trusted partners to its customers and suppliers around the world.  More than 20,000 global customers, including some of the industry’s most successful OEMs, network operators, retailers and dealers rely on Brightpoint to distribute their devices, expand their sales channels and transform their logistical challenges into revenue opportunities.

“Brightpoint is excited about our expansion into the state of Kentucky and we look forward to becoming a valued member of the Louisville business community,” said J. Mark Howell, President of Brightpoint.

The company will occupy a 239,000 square-foot distribution and fulfillment center located at 6001 Global Distribution Way. Its fulfillment services are proven effective in direct-to-consumer, direct-to-store, and to national retailers.

“Brightpoint Services will be a tremendous addition to our community’s dynamic logistics industry sector,” said Joe Reagan, President and CEO of Greater Louisville Inc. – The Metro Chamber of Commerce.  “We are pleased that they recognized Louisville’s many competitive and economic advantages and we look forward to working with them in the coming years.”

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) preliminarily approved Brightpoint Services, LLC for tax benefits up to $3 million under the Kentucky Jobs Development Act (KJDA), an incentive program designed to increase technology- and service-related employment in the commonwealth.
