Opportunity for Kentucky Small Businesses at 2010 Alltech World Equestrian Games
The 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games will take place in Lexington, Kentucky, at the Kentucky Horse Park September 25-October 10, 2010, and promises to be the largest spectator event in the history of the Commonwealth with an anticipated attendance level of more than 600,000 people.
The event, being held for the first time outside of Europe, will provide an unprecedented opportunity for Kentucky to showcase itself to a worldwide audience. As a result, Kentucky’s small businesses will have an excellent opportunity to market and promote themselves to the international community.
“This event will provide more than $150 million in economic impact to Kentucky in the form of, among other things, lodging, transportation, food and retail sales. That is a great opportunity for small businesses,” says Terry Johnson, Director of External Relations for the event.
