EDi Medical recently opened a 10,000 square-foot facility in Fountain Run, Kentucky to assemble custom sterile surgical packs for hospitals and related healthcare customers.

EDi Medical to Open Facility in South Central Kentucky

EDi Medical opened its 10,000 square-foot surgical products service facility in Fountain Run, Kentucky, in Fall 2006 with a dozen employees and is expected to add up to 60 employees as the project expands. The new operation will assemble custom sterile surgical packs for hospitals and related customers in the healthcare industry. Its advanced system allows customers to track and monitor surgical kit orders via its web-based customer service portal.

The custom sterile surgical pack business is a $4 billion industry within the healthcare field and EDi Medical is well positioned to pursue and secure multi-millions in revenue.

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) preliminarily approved EDi Medical for tax benefits up to $636,750 under the Kentucky Jobs Development Act (KJDA), an incentive program designed to attract and expand technology and service-related industries in the state.
