Many small businesses are interested in selling their products and services to
federal, state, and local government agencies. The U.S. government is the
largest purchaser of goods and services in the world. State and local
government agencies also purchase significant amounts of products and services.
Many government agencies have goals or programs designed to encourage or
promote more business with small firms.
